Brent has been professionally licensed since 2000 and worked solely with Avant-Garde since. He became a managing partner in the company in 2003 and sole owner in 2020.
Brent works diligently to stay up to date on all related body piercing topics including anatomy, infection control, jewelry standards and pharmacology.
Over his career Brent has also worked closely with the State of Wisconsin in efforts to revise and update the governing legislation of Body Art. He has also taught courses to medical staff at Froedtert Memorial Hospital and Columbia St. Mary's Hospital (now Ascension) related to the handling, removal and care of body piercings and jewelry in the emergency medicine arena and operatory theater in addition to the Pre and Post operative environments.
